About Totus
We are an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to building a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous society. We are scholars, analysts, engineers, and policy practitioners driving meaningful change by transforming innovative concepts into practical solutions. Our work spans research, engineering, assurance, and engagement, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, technology, and the questions they raise for society. Through our research and community engagement, we maintain strong connections to the people and places affected by the issues we study.
We have contributed to important policy discussions and progressive reform. From early advocacy for labor protections and addressing economic disparities, to developing innovative approaches to contemporary challenges, including the governance and responsible deployment of AI, Totus Institute's research has consistently offered viable solutions to the complex problems confronting society.

Who We Are
Progressive research for positive change

Business, Politics, Economy, Technology
Research driven solutions
We advocate for a renewed democracy that gives everyone a voice in society and devolves power to people, places, and communities, alongside fair and compassionate systems that support social integration. Our research promotes a modern, green economy that delivers prosperity and justice to all people and places by actively shaping markets for social good and addressing concentrations of wealth and power. The same standard applies to our technology and AI work: evidence first, with a clear account of what is known and what remains uncertain.
Who We Engage
The people this work is for

Institutions
Universities, foundations, regulators and public interest organisations.
Industry
Organisations building, buying or deploying AI systems.

Civil society
Advocacy groups, community organisations and public interest networks.
Public

Engagement is open and non-exclusive. Listing an audience here does not imply a partnership, funding relationship, membership, certification or endorsement, and it does not indicate government relationships we do not hold.
